Mole de la Abuela

A love letter to the Mexican kitchen, this candle is hand-poured in a lidded terracotta cazuela with matching spoon, both finished in a warm adobe-orange glaze and dotted with tiny hand-painted flowers. Inside, creamy soy wax becomes a plate of “mole” brought to life in wax: a rich cocoa-brown base like silky salsa de mole, sculpted pieces that mimic tender chicken, white “onion” rings, and a drizzle of dark “chocolate” with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for that authentic final touch. Every detail is crafted by Mexican artisans, turning a favorite family recipe into an heirloom keepsake that glows.

The fragrance is Spring Wild Flowers, opening with bright orange blossom and sun-warmed magnolia, blooming into soft coconut husk and airy wildflowers, and resting on an elegant trail of Haitian vetiver, sheer amber, and solar musk. Light it to fill your home with the freshness of a garden in spring while the vessel evokes the comfort of abuela’s table.

When the candle is finished, gently clean the cazuela and reuse it for salsas, trinkets, or display. Each piece is unique, just like every family’s mole.
